Those Volunteers who will have direct contact with patients and families are prepared for their role through training conducted by hospice staff and experienced volunteers. Other volunteer roles require less formal training, but every volunteer receives a thorough orientation to our various services, facilities and programmes.

In order to become a volunteer, you will need to complete the following requirements:

After the application is received and all references are verified, a member of the Volunteer Department will contact the applicant to schedule an interview. Alternatively, you will be contacted by a representative from our organization.

A personal interview with the applicant is conducted by a member of the Volunteer Services.
